Proton Mail Native Desktop App for Linux to be available Early 2024
This is a short description of the post.
Proton Mail has confirmed that it intends to release the native desktop app for Linux early next year. This follows the release of Windows and macOS desktop app for beta users.
Responding to Linux users’ questions on when they should expect the Linux version, the ProtonMail Team revealed plans to introduce the Linux beta version in early 2024.
Proton Mail app for desktop (macOS and Windows) which will be available to all users in early 2024 comes with calendar support but lacks several key features available on the web version-such as offline mode, account switching, and notification badges for unread messages. Proton Mail says it will add them over time.
If you are eager to access the beta version, an upgrade to the Proton Visionary Plan is required. The Visionary Plan is priced at $359 per year and offers 6 TB of storage, access to all Proton apps with premium features, and early access to new features.
Visionary Plan users can download the Proton Mail desktop app beta version from this page.
