Gmail adds package delivery date changes email notification
This is a short description of the post.
Gmail has enhanced its package tracking feature with the addition of package delivery delay notifications. This update aims to assist shoppers over the holiday by notifying them when there are changes in the scheduled delivery dates of their packages. The notifications will be displayed at the top of the user’s inbox.
Upon your package’s arrival, Gmail will also now include package return links that lead to the merchant’s return policy pages. These links will be available within the item’s order emails.
How to enable package tracking
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to enable package tracking within Gmail:
- Login to your Gmail account.
- Go to Settings.
- Within the General menu, navigate to Package Tracking.
- Enable the “Turn on Package Tracking” feature.
Gmail will display tracking details if the order email has a tracking number, merchant name, product name, order number, order URL, and estimated delivery date.
This feature is currently available for users in the United States in Android and iOS Gmail apps.
